Full sun. 12 to 16 inches.  Chives prefer fertile, moist soils but will grow well in less than optimal conditions.  Chives bloom after its first spring flush of new leaves.  Chive blossoms are used to infusion vinegar with flavor and color.

Full sun to partial shade.  10 to 12 inches.  Slender tubular-shaped rose colored flowers tipped with yellow are borne on bushy plants with glossy foliage. Plants bloom summer to frost. Cuphea does best in a humus rich well drained soil.  Excellent plant for borders and containers.

Flower clusters are held on sturdy 8 to 12 inch stems above succulent rosettes.  These plants take regular water when in bloom.  Reduce water after flowering. Plant in well drained soil or add some gravel to your container’s potting mix.  Lewisia will bloom summer long and into the cooler months.  Lewisa is easy to overwinter indoors.  When overwintering resist over watering!
