Hyacinth Bean Ruby Moon

Sun.  Tall to 12 feet. This rapid growing annual vine produces graceful wands of orchid color pea-like blossoms that fade to white. Its dark green foliage, contrasting purple stems and bean pods rounds out the show.

Hyacinth Bean Silver Moon

Sun.  Tall to 12 feet.  A fast growing and exuberant vine, Silver Moon produces a generous number of 1 foot long stems of white blossoms.  Once pollinated the crescent shaped silvery green seed pods that follow are luminescent against the rich green foliage of the plant.  

Jewels of Opar /Talinum Kingswood Gold

Sun.  18 to 24 inches.  Talinum is a versatile plant.  A nicely mounding plant, Kingswood Gold has eye catching bright chartreuse leaves, small lavender-pink flowers held high above the foliage on delicate stems. At the end of the season, small red ornamental bead-like seed pods appear. Simply cut the stems and bring indoors for use in dried flower arrangements.  Prefers well drained fertile soil.  Good for containers, cutting and the border.

Kale Blue Scotch Vates (curly green)

Sun. Allow one square foot/plant. 18 to 24 inches.  The standard for open pollinated curly green kale.  We normally offer Winterbor, a prized hybrid variety.  We were unable to obtain seeds for this season due to a crop failure.

Sun.  Do to the seed shortage of Winterbor we are offering Darkibor as areplacement for this season.  It has good cold tolerance and a dark green color.

Kale Lacinata

Kale-LacinataSun.  Allow 1 square foot per plant.  Lacinata, aka dinosaur kale and Tuscan kale is an open pollinated kale with very blue-green sword-shaped leaves that range from smooth to lightly crinkled. Flavor is more delicate than green curly kale.

Kale Red & White Russian Mix

Sun. Allow 1 square foot per plant.  Russian kale (which actually originated in Canada) is a tender, cut leaf variety of kale.  Red Russian has green leaves with a purple stem and veining while White Russian has a white stem and white veining. White Russian kale plants tend to be extremely vigorous with huge leave.  White Russian withstands very cold temperatures.  Either variety, if left to overwinter, will send out new leaves early in the spring then begin to bolt. These flower buds are delectable.
