Amaranth Chinese Giant Orange

Full sun. 6 to 8 feet.  Massive orange/golden seed heads on large yellow stemmed plants with deep green leaves. Chinese Giant Orange is a heavy producer of edible seeds.  A showpiece in the landscape as well as a great cut.

Amaranth Coral Fountain

Sun. 36 to 60 inches.  Coral Fountain has a similar habit to Love Lies Bleeding, long cascading chenille ropes, but with soft coral pink flowers. Use fresh or dried in floral arrangements.  A lovely plant for the border.

Amaranth Dreadlocks

Full sun. Height: 24-36 inches. Though not as tall as the other amaranths we grow Dreadlocks is a ‘husky” plant with thick knotted trails of deep red blooms falling from sturdy stems. A great cut!

Amaranth Elephant Head

Full Sun. 48 inches tall. Interesting carmine flower heads haves an upright, pointing-to-the-sky habit.  A eye-catching plant in the border and useful for cutting as well. Amaranth leaves are edible and the seeds are too.

Amaranth Hopi Red Dye

Amaranth-Hopi-Red-DyeFull Sun. 5 to 6 feet tall. A rich burgundy color is carried throughout the stems, leaves and flowers of this eye-catching plant. Chenille textured flowers begin to appear by mid June.  A great plant for the border and for cutting.  The leaves and seeds of amaranth are edible.
