Pumpkin / New England Pie

New England Pie pumpkin is an orange fleshed, starchy, dry and stringless.  It is suitable for baking uses.  The 4 to 6 pound fruits are useful as mini jack-o’-lanterns.

Full sun.  6 to 10 feet.  Two inch lavender-pink, cupped star shaped blossoms with a maroon ‘clapper’ that give good cause for the common name, purple bell vine.  Give it something to climb on for the best show.
