Sun, well drained soil. Last spring we dug up our household patch of tarragon, divided it, planted them out in our garden and gave them room to grow. We will be potting up plants and offer them for sale this spring.

Full sun. 6 to 8 inches. German thyme is the standard for culinary thyme. It has intense essential oils. Cut the plant back when it begins to flower, this will keep it from getting woody and will provide you with a second flush of soft stems and leaves. Thyme is very easy to dry. Just tie in bunches and hang in a dry place. Thyme will eventually become woody and need to be replanted.

Full sun. A hybrid variety, Big Beef yields full flavored, 10 to 12 ounce, globe-shaped red fruit. It is early to ripen and has moderate disease tolerance.
Indeterminate tomato vines set flowers until frost kills the plant. Indeterminate plants give you a long harvest season. Staking or trellising is recommended for indeterminate plants. Suckering of indeterminate plants is recommended for slicing varieties so that you get a good number of larger tomatoes (suckering is not necessary for cherry tomatoes).
