Sweet Thai basil adds the flavor and scent of licorice to your dishes.  The plant has small green leaves on deep purple stems.  The flowers of Sweet Thai are also deep purple.  The plant can be used for  ornamental as well as culinary purposes.  The compact nature of Sweet Thai makes it well suited to container growing as well as in your herb garden.

Begonia Bossa Nova Yellow

Sun to part shade. Height 12 to 16 inches, spread 16 to 20 inches.  Dainty 2 1/2″ soft yellow blossoms cover this mounding and cascading plant.  Bossa Nova begonia prefers a well drained, evenly moist peaty soil.  This plant loved our north facing window boxes and bloomed like crazy all summer long, even during periods of high heat in mid summer.

Height and spread 12 to 18 inches.  This cane-type begonia prefers a well drained, evenly moist, but never soggy, soil.  Be sure to position the ‘cane’ with its foliaged and blossoms cane side to its best advantage.  The can has a dominant side. The non-dominant sides of the plant will not fill out.

Full Sun.  24 inches. Bearing large 5″ flowers splashed with red, bronze and yellow Autumn Colors makes a vivid display to the late summer and autumn garden. Blooms appear beginning around the 4th of July and continue through autumn. The flowers make excellent cuts.

Sun to Partial Shade. 12 to 16 inches. Toto produces a compact mound of color. It works well in borders and in containers. Flowers are uniform in shape.  An easy to grow plant, though it requires a well drained soil.
